Ten Years To Get a Beer
Ten Years To Get a Beer
Ten years since its foundation Redhound Studios has worked with a vast number of interesting products but now we have finally been asked to produce classic beer advertising images. This is something that excites us not just for the obvious reasons but because it’s expected of every commercial CGI company to have produced at least one.
Microbreweries are as prevalent in the United States as they are in the UK. Redhound were approached by the New York based marketing company who are managing the launch of a new blonde IPA beer in the States. The new beer, called Blacktop Blonde is brewed with locally sourced honey instead of sugar, fermented for longer before being bottled and ice filtered giving it a deeper flavour and increasing the alcoholic content. The use of ice filtering is supposedly rare among microbrewers due to cost, so it’s something pretty unique in the market at the moment.
The product launch is to be a nationwide affair following a series of beer festivals across the States during which its popularity can be judged.
Redhound Studios were challenged with a popular cliché style beer advertisement for print including the four-point lighting studio shots, classic bottle lines and the most tantalising cliché, condensation to simulate that ‘chilled to perfection’ look with additional composite shots showing the product in a suitable outdoor location.
