Technical Illustration
We employ a range of methods in the creation of technical illustrations dependent on what needs to be communicated by the image. For some products it may be an assembly showing components fitted together, or an exploded view showing separate elements. For some products a ‘ghosted’ view, where some of the object is translucent, or a cut-away where a portion of an object is removed to expose areas of interest may be required.
Common to all Technical Illustration is the need to show functionality, and in these circumstances animation is preferable. Virtual assembly drawings or animation sequences of any device, derived from technology or biologically, can be visualised realistically. They can be textured and lit to demonstrate features and functionality in crisp and concise detail. Redhound Studios have created illustrations for a variety of industries including scientific, medical, engineering, product design, museums, technical authoring and manufacturing.
